The places we live.
The bigger picture.
REAL Estate News is a standalone Canadian publication covering the decisions, developments and data shaping property across the country.
A national perspective. A local lens.
We cover housing, mortgages, rental markets, commercial property, real estate investing, development and public policy. We look for the differences between places, not a single story stretched across an entire country.
How we report
Our newsroom starts with original evidence: public data, government announcements, regulatory documents, market releases and municipal records. Each article links to the sources behind its material claims.
AI assists research, drafting and verification. Articles use the REAL Newsroom institutional byline. We do not invent interviews or present an automated byline as a named human journalist. We write original articles rather than reproducing another outlet’s reporting.
Dates, numbers, quotations and geographic boundaries matter. We distinguish proposals from completed developments, asking rents from measured rents, and national averages from local market conditions. We identify historical reporting periods and separate facts from forecasts.
Publication and corrections
Source discovery is separate from publication. New drafts must pass checks against the exact revision before release. Unresolved material claims are held. Substantive errors require a visible correction that explains what changed, while preserving the original publication date.
The first edition contains source-backed news briefs and explainers. Recurring autonomous reporting will be identified as active only after its publishing connection and scheduled workflow have been tested.
Investing coverage
Our articles explain developments and evidence. They do not provide personalized investment, mortgage, tax or legal recommendations, and reported returns are not guarantees.
